The waterfalls cascade down from the hill for about 1000 meters. The waterfall is surrounded by lush dense forest which is home for many birds and animals. The Thottiyar Hydro Electric project of KSEB is very near to this waterfall.

There are plenty of local shops available at both the places. You can park your vehicle near the roadside and enjoy the beauty of waterfalls.

Situated on the way from Kochi to Munnar, the Valara falls are the biggest that we came across. The spray from the waterfall makes you wet and everything around it.

Valara waterfalls is not a picnic spot, but you can just stop your vehicle here for a stopover. A maximum of 10-15 minutes is enough to see this place.
